The 'ne' salon in Osaka, Japan takes minimalism to the extreme. The [hair salon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gxbar) is owned by two young entrepreneurs who wanted it to be designed in a way that hides the purpose of the space being revealed as the customer is brought in.

The sleek, [ultra-minimalist design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fifteen-east) of the 'ne' salon was achieved through the use of abstract objects and ambiguous volumes within the space. Huge mirrors hide hairdressing chairs, [oversized concrete steps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fj-apartment) serve as seating and display shelves, and doors that feature seamless spines appearing as though they were simply cut-outs from the wall make this salon super unique.
