The **[Nautilus House](http://www.worldarchitecturenews.com/index.php?fuseaction=wanappln.projectview&upload_id=1242)** is designed as a snail shell by architects at Senosiain Arquitectos for a Mexico City young couple with two children who, after living in a conventional home, wanted to change to one integrated with nature. The abode takes the shape of a shell and the interiors flow smoothly to gel with the exteriors. The [multi-colored mosaic glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-within-a-few-lines) reflects the daylight adding to the drama while the spherical skylights ensure natural lighting throughout the house. I love this house. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 84% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Unique Houses:** There is an opportunity to disrupt the housing industry by designing and building more unique and unconventional homes. - **Integration with Nature:** There is potential for innovation in creating homes that seamlessly blend with the natural environment, enhancing the connection between residents and nature. - **Innovative Use of Glass:** Exploring new ways to utilize mosaic glass and incorporate it into architecture can lead to the development of visually striking and environmentally friendly buildings. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Real Estate:** Disruptive innovation opportunities exist in the real estate industry by focusing on offering unique and nature-integrated housing options that stand out in the market. - **Architecture:** There is room for disruptive innovation in architecture by pushing the boundaries of design and creating more unconventional structures that challenge traditional building approaches. - **Glass Manufacturing:** Innovative use of mosaic glass in architecture opens up opportunities for the glass manufacturing industry to develop new products and technologies for sustainable and visually appealing buildings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fish Tank-Inspired Japanese Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nao-iwanari.md) - [Snake-Resembling Sculptural Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chuzhi.md) - [Chic Curved Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curved-house1.md) - [Castle-Inspired Cylindrical Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-del-tec.md) - [Futuristic Capsule House Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capsule-house.md) - [Figure 8-Structured House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-loop-house.md) - [Origami-Style Shelled Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/copper-bottom.md) - [Geometric Cave-Like Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cavelike-homes.md) - [Transparent Shell-Covered Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-brisa.md)
