It is surrounded by such serenity, that people simply looking for a [truly restful vacation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-cabin) will want to escape to this place. Unfortunately for them, the nature-lover home belongs to a couple who may not want to rent it out when they're not there. Located in Quebec, Canada, the nature-lover home looks utterly luxurious, but it was designed to be a [cost-effective retreat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chalet-vale-perkins). Built on top the foundation of an old chalet, it also has a very low impact on the environment. Made predominantly out of wood, the interior is full of natural lighting and lofty ceilings. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Eco-friendly Architecture:** A trend in architecture focused on building sustainable and low-impact structures. - **Nature-inspired Design:** A trend in interior design that incorporates natural elements and brings the outdoors inside. - **Luxury Retreats:** A trend in vacation home rentals that offers high-end amenities and a serene environment. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture:** Architects can explore innovative construction techniques and sustainable materials to create eco-friendly structures. - **Interior Design:** Designers can incorporate natural lighting, greenery, and nature-inspired elements into residential and commercial spaces. - **Hospitality:** Hospitality companies can tap into the demand for luxury retreats by offering unique and secluded vacation experiences in serene environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contemporary Mountainous Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mountainous-home.md) - [Elevated Mountain Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-cadree-perche.md) - [Contemporary Nature-Inspired Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebo-house.md) - [Tranquil Nature-Centric Cabin Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nortehaus.md) - [Nature-Connecting Vacation Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-lake.md) - [Sustainable Off-Grid Remote Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/daria-sheina.md) - [Rejuvenating Ecological Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selenite.md) - [Discrete Lakeside Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palissade.md) - [Blackened Timber Tranquil Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hideaway-house.md)
