The Nature Wood Chopstick was created by Gyeongwan Koo (Oliver), and is designed to serve an eco-friendly purpose after you are done eating.

The Nature Wood Chopstick has a small, starch-covered tip concealing a tiny seed. After you are done eating, simply stick your used chopstick in the ground and a plant will begin to grow. The idea behind this design is to grow tons of new trees simply by sticking used chopsticks in the ground. That may sound overly ambitious, but it can be done considering there must be billions of pairs of [disposable chopsticks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cutlery-dispenser) used each year. If even a fraction of those chopsticks were planted it could mean millions of new trees. This design is [eco-friendly and practical](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holy-carp-packaging).
