# Hill and Valley Inspired Ceilings Rosso Restaurant Decor By Going Like Sixty | Published 2008-11-19 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-influenced-design-rosso-restaurant-hills-and-valley-ceiling References: [archdaily](http://www.archdaily.com/8768/rosso-restaurant-so-architecture/) Here’s a stunner of a restaurant, all because of the [unique wave ceiling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/savvia). [Rosso Restaurant](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/together-valentines-day) is a little out of the way -- it's in Ramat Yishay, in the Yezre-el valley in Northern Israel! How cool is it that this little bit of luxury utilizes steel fabrication covered with painted wood for some amazing ceiling contours? The architect said he was influenced by the green hills and contours around the restaurant. The walls are covered in softly textured upholstery -- dark gray tones near the view, and a light gray on the more interior walls -- to enlarge the feeling of space. The ceiling is built of 36 steel contoured structures, and covered by painted wood. The motif is a bright and floral theme for daytime which changes to a subtle lighting after nightfall. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Wave Ceilings:** Utilizing steel fabrication covered with painted wood for unique ceiling designs. - **Inspired Decor:** Taking inspiration from natural surroundings to create visually stunning interiors. - **Textured Upholstery:** Using softly textured upholstery to enhance the feeling of space in restaurant interiors. ### Where This Applies - **Restaurant:** Incorporating unique ceiling designs and inspired decor to create memorable dining experiences. - **Architecture:** Exploring new materials and techniques to create innovative and visually striking interior designs. - **Furniture:** Developing textured upholstery products to enhance the comfort and aesthetic appeal of seating furniture in various settings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Energy-Saving Artistically Contoured Ceilings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contoured-ceiling.md) - [Curved Wall Restaurant Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tin-tin.md) - [Stingray-Inspired Restaurant Roofs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/overwater-restaurant.md) - [Architecturally Romantic Restaurant Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urbanjobs.md) - [Corrugated Winery Sawtooth Roofs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tierra-tinta-winery.md) - [Brutalist Museum Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cantabrian-maritime-museum.md) - [Curvaceous Restaurant Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4space.md) - [Famed Paintings-Covered Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frescohallen.md) - [Sloped Concrete Roofed Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aruma-restaurant.md)
