The assemblage of videos are meant to explore the exhibitionism of the selfie (otherwise known throughout history as 'the self-portrait'). The proliferation of social media and technology has allowed the self-portrait to become a widely used art form. In other words, the practice is no longer reserved for those with superior artistic talent (think Van Gogh;) anyone with a smartphone can snap and share a selfie these days.
