The pictures place much focus on the Bosnian children who have grown up in the camps and some who were even born there. Each picture tells a number of stories of the people living there and more generally speaking, of the country's social welfare and [living conditions for displaced farming families](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unwelcome-home). The [powerful photos show the poverty-stricken area](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-last-resort-exhibition) overcoming challenges and self-destructive behavior, like drug use, but they also show a sense of hope in the younger subjects. Ben Alper explains of the German artist Mohadjer's series, "Displayed in the faces and interiors of Grab Potog exists a perseverance that can only be found in the face of extreme adversity." Extremely interesting and moving, the Nathalie Mohadjer 'Blood Honey' series is a study in human behavior and the effects of war on countries worldwide. I've always been a fan of her work, and these photos certainly do not disappoint. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Youth](https://www.trendhunter.com/youth) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Refugee Camp Rehabilitation:** Exploring innovative solutions to improve the living conditions and social welfare of displaced farming families in refugee camps. - **Youth Empowerment in Refugee Camps:** Identifying ways to provide support, education, and opportunities for personal development to youth growing up in refugee camps. - **Photography as a Medium for Social Commentary:** Recognizing the power of photography to shed light on important social issues and inspire change. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Humanitarian Aid:** Disruptive innovation opportunities lie in developing new approaches, technologies, and strategies to provide effective aid and support to refugees in camps. - **Youth Development and Education:** There is a need for innovative solutions and programs focused on empowering and educating youth in refugee camps, enabling them to build a better future despite their circumstances. - **Art and Media:** Artists and photographers have an opportunity to use their medium as a powerful tool for social commentary and creating awareness about pressing global issues, such as the refugee crisis. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immigration System-Inspired Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/passport-series.md) - [Emergency Refuge Shelter Replicas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emergency-refuge-shelter.md) - [Explosion-Damaged Sculpture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-into-darkness.md) - [Travel-Inspired Canvas Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-passport-series.md) - [Refugee-Supporting Ice Creams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ben-jerrys-sunny-honey-home.md) - [Refugee-Informed Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-life-jackets-installation.md) - [Student Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lebanese-students-design-in-conflict.md) - [Humanized Waiting Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/de-wachtkamer.md) - [Personal Nostalgic Photo Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holy-ohio.md)
