# Bored Office Art 'Scanning Player' by Natalia Dalbem Gives Insight into a Droning Business Day By Allison Love | Published 2010-08-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/natalia-dalbem References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/Scanning-Player/612199) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/nataliadalbem) Natalia Dalbem gives new meaning to the word "bored." The artist has taken mundane, [everyday office supplies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/routines-collection) from her office and scanned them to make these clever artistic renderings. She's even added a bit of herself into the mix. Natalia Dalbem has somehow managed to scan -- with perfect clarity, I might add -- a telephone, mixed CDs, her set of keys, [pens and Post-Its](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dumpstuder-pencil-holders), and even her lunchtime sandwich. Natalia Dalbem should really consider a career in [scanned artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tou). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Office Scanning Art:** Artists can explore the creative potential of everyday office supplies through scanning technology. - **Digital Office Illustrations:** Digital artists can transform mundane office objects into visually striking illustrations, adding a new layer of creativity to corporate environments. - **Personalized Office Artwork:** Employees can customize their workspace by creating scanned artwork from their own office supplies, fostering a sense of personal expression and engagement. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Design:** Artists can leverage scanning technology to create innovative and visually captivating artwork that challenges traditional artistic mediums. - **Digital Imaging:** With the rise of scanning technology, the digital imaging industry can offer advanced solutions for creating high-resolution scanned artwork from various objects and surfaces. - **Workspace Personalization:** Companies specializing in office furnishings and decor can capitalize on the trend of personalized office artwork by offering products or services that enable employees to create and display their own scanned creations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Korean Game-Inspired Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-desk-accessories.md) - [Playful Industrial Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forming-function-nomad-collection.md) - [Painting-Inspired Office Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-accessories1.md) - [Analog Nostalgia Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/back-to-basics-ii.md) - [Cardboard-Inspired Ceramic Household Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-collection.md) - [Collaborative Drawing Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boring-canvas.md) - [AI-Generated Retrofuturistic Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retrofuturistic-objects.md) - [Sculptural Mixed-Media Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-echoes.md) - [Beach-Inspired Desk Trios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deskterior.md)
