# Cloned Contemporary Tables The Narcisso Coffee Table is a Poetic Piece About Reflection By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-02-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/narcisso-coffee-table References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/Narcisso/2885543) Despite the absence of any mirrored surfaces that assemble the Narcisso Coffee Table, the object's composition invokes thoughts about twin images. Perhaps the incorporation of more reflective materials might have even overcomplicated the piece's presence. Eliel Cabrera constructed this chic furnishing with gorgeous [bent plywood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/topographic-coffee-table), cut into the shape of a square and beveled at the corners with dramatic creases. A duplicate component is placed against it and lightly meets the other with their sloped edges touching. A vivid [high-gloss finish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luis-gimeno) coats the underside of both hard surfaces, contrasting with the rich woodgrain through an expression of bold turquoise color and much more lustrous properties. Here, one can begin to detect the experiential reflective quality of Narcisso Coffee Table. Mirrors would only have robbed this object of its identity. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Reflective Furniture:** The trend of incorporating reflective materials into furniture designs creates a visually striking and experiential element for consumers. - **Bent Plywood Designs:** The trend of using bent plywood in furniture construction allows for unique and bold shapes to be created, adding a modern and artistic touch. - **High-gloss Finishes:** The trend of using high-gloss finishes in furniture design adds a vibrant and luxurious aesthetic to the pieces, making them stand out in any space. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can explore the use of reflective materials, bent plywood, and high-gloss finishes to offer innovative and visually captivating products to consumers. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can incorporate reflective furniture with bent plywood designs and high-gloss finishes to create striking and unique spaces for clients. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can tap into the trend of reflective furniture with bent plywood designs and high-gloss finishes to offer stylish and modern options to customers looking to enhance their living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Optically-Designed Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enigma-coffee-tables.md) - [Dynamic Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ryb-coffee-table.md) - [Crystalline Gem-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-coffee-tables.md) - [Paper-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocoon-coffee-table.md) - [Luxe Low-Slung Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/attraction-coffee-table.md) - [Harmonious Helical Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vortex-coffee-table.md) - [Blurred Bold Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blur-coffee-table.md) - [Luxuriously Modern Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-coffee-tables.md) - [Bent Steel Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creu-coffee-table.md)
