# Branching Kitchen Accessories The Napkin Cup by Royal VKB Will Brighten Up Any Dining Table By Meghan Young | Published 2013-03-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/napkin-cup References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/napkin-cup-by-royal-vkb/) & [royalvkb](http://www.royalvkb.com/productdet.asp?catid=1438) The Napkin Cup provides the perfect way to offer napkins and toothpicks in a cute and creative way. In place of typical holders that take up unnecessary space in a decidedly unstylish way, the Napkin Cup brightens up the table for intimate gatherings and big parties alike. As though inspired by nature, the Napkin Cup has a branching aesthetic to accommodate the toothpicks. A collaborative design effort between [Royal VKB](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/international-photography-exhibition) and Officeoriginair, its silhouette can even be likened to a [miniature teapot](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-for-two-collection). Great for both indoor and outdoor use, the Napkin Cup make enjoying party snacks, [finger foods and tapas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/red-gold-dunk-cup) much more easy and convenient. The adorable Napkin Cup is available in eight different colors: terra, red, grey, emerald, coffee brown, fuchsia, anthracite and ochre. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Creative Table Accessories:** Opportunity for innovative and visually appealing solutions to enhance the dining experience. - **Functional Aesthetics:** Demand for products that combine practicality with an attractive design. - **Outdoor Dining Solutions:** Growing market for stylish and convenient products suitable for outdoor gatherings. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Housewares:** Potential for new and improved kitchen and dining products that offer unique and aesthetically pleasing solutions. - **Event Planning:** Opportunity for event organizers to incorporate creative table accessories to enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality of gatherings. - **Outdoor Entertainment:** Market for innovative outdoor dining solutions to cater to the increasing popularity of outdoor gatherings and events. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cup-Integrated Plates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pairingware.md) - [Conversation Starting Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dinner-table-conversation-starter-napkins.md) - [Accordion-Style Coffee Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accordion-paper-cup.md) - [Collapsible Folding Carrier Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-cup.md) - [Creative Dipping Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dip-sea.md) - [Ergonomic Instant Noodle Forks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-x-nissin-the-fork.md) - [All-in-One Eco Party Plates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knork-eco-party-plate.md) - [Nesting Gem-Like Drinking Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upsidedownside-glasses.md) - [Vibrantly Designed Playful Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hem.md)
