Meaning 'I bow to you' in Sanskrit, the symbology behind the word has influenced the design of the skyscraper immensely. The Namaste Tower takes on a very [spiritual existence](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mahamudra-meditation-centre) by being modeled after the clasping together of two hands, which is what takes place during a traditional Indian greeting. To further the hand analogy, the Namaste Tower is decorated with an [intricate skin that mimics Mehndi designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raj-sabhagruh), which women often get on their hands for wedding ceremonies. Designed by Atkins Design Studio for W Hotel, the Namaste Tower is located in the [city of Mumbai](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office27). As the ultimate symbol of hospitality and welcome, it is a stunning addition to the Indian metropolis' skyline. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 77% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Spiritual Architecture:** The trend of incorporating spiritual and cultural symbols into architectural designs provides opportunities for creating transformative spaces. - **Symbolic Skyscrapers:** The trend of designing skyscrapers inspired by symbolic elements opens up possibilities for creating visually striking landmarks with deep cultural meaning. - **Intricate Facade Designs:** The trend of adorning buildings with intricate skin designs creates opportunities for showcasing artistic expression through architecture. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Hospitality:** In the hospitality industry, incorporating spiritual and cultural elements into the design of hotels and resorts can create unique and immersive experiences for guests. - **Architecture/construction:** In the architecture and construction industry, designing symbolic skyscrapers inspired by cultural symbols can be a disruptive innovation that attracts attention and sets buildings apart from traditional designs. - **Art/design:** In the art and design industry, creating intricate facade designs for buildings allows for the fusion of artistic expression with functional structures, resulting in visually captivating landmarks. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ski Resort Crystalline Skyscrapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trojena-ski-resort.md) - [Gracefully Dynamic Skyscrapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bond-tower.md) - [Indian Spiritual Hub Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sri-aurobindo-integral-life-centre.md) - [Textile-Inspired Skyscraper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airside.md) - [Multi-Faith Spiritual Temples](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nondenominational-temple.md) - [Lotus Plant-Inspired Skyscrapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/one-future.md) - [Temple-Inspired Striking Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abin-design-studio.md) - [Emirati-Inspired Towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/symphony-tower.md) - [Feminine Silhouette Tall Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/telus-sky-tower.md)
