# Star Lit Bricks Nam-Hoon Kin Stone Designs Inspired by Dazzling Starry Nights By Rachel | Published 2009-07-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nam-hoon-kin-brick References: [designnothing](http://designnothing.com/sub_02.html) & [storyshop.kr](http://www.storyshop.kr/shop/shop.html?at=view&productid=m00000071168) Designer Nam-Hoon Kin has found an innovative way to lighten up even the dullest of brick walls. Her outdoor brick lights add a touch of the night sky to the dull grey stone walls. The brick light design by Nam-Hoon Kin lets you see the sky on your own wall with the addition of little star shaped lights added to bricks. They're a simple way to add a special touch to a pretty standard (but admittedly functional) design. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.4/10 - Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Starry Skies:** Innovative lighting systems that incorporate starry skies into their design. - **Brick Decor:** The use of bricks as an aesthetic choice in home decor and outdoor design. - **DIY Lighting:** A trend towards DIY lighting solutions using simple materials and techniques. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can incorporate brick design and starry lighting for indoor and outdoor spaces. - **Architecture:** Architects and builders can incorporate creative brick designs and starry lighting system into their projects for unique and visually appealing outcomes. - **Retail:** Retail businesses can offer DIY starry light products to customers who want to customize their lighting solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Daylight-Responsive Brick Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luminescent-bricks.md) - [Illusory Brick Wall Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/og-brick-lamp.md) - [Modular Brick Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brick-light.md) - [Astronaut Night Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/night-light-projectors.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Outdoor Light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinno.md) - [Stone-Inspired Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karim-rashid-kobble.md) - [Stone Waste Street Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pebble-street-light.md) - [Moon-Inspired Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lua.md) - [Moon-Inspired Column Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/column-lights.md)
