# Fierce Flying Dragon Machines This 'Mythical Beast' is Remote-Controlled and Fire-Breathing By Josh Triantafilou | Published 2012-05-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mythical-beast References: [obviouswinner](http://www.obviouswinner.com/obvwin/2012/5/2/jet-turbine-powered-fire-breathing-flying-rc-dragon.html) & [rcuniverse](http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/profile.cfm?section=profile&memid=12207) Many things that are awesome are also dangerous and this 'Mythical Beast' is no different. Simply put, the [remote-controlled dragon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arivia-watersurface-drone) flies and spouts fire. This, no doubt, leaves much room for abuse and irresponsibility. However, with some temperance and foresight, the machine can be a lot of fun as well. Of course, one should be far enough away from populated areas so that one is not mistaken for a terrorist, wizard or simple rabble-rouser. As with anything involving fire, caution should be exercised. Furthermore, it should be noted that chasing woodland animals with [flying robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-robot) is not nice. Still, all these points are moot, as the creator of the dragon, Rick Hammel, has the only working model. It wouldn't be surprising if he was sought after to create more. Although, it may be a good thing that the RC dragon is one of a kind. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [DIY](https://www.trendhunter.com/diy) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Remote-controlled Drones:** The development of remote-controlled drones opens up opportunities for various industries, such as entertainment and surveillance. - **Fire-breathing Machines:** The creation of fire-breathing machines can disrupt industries such as special effects, events, and advertising. - **Personal Robotics:** Advancements in personal robotics, like the remote-controlled dragon, have the potential to revolutionize industries such as toys, gaming, and hobbyist markets. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can leverage remote-controlled drones for aerial shows and immersive experiences, creating new and exciting opportunities. - **Special Effects:** The special effects industry can incorporate fire-breathing machines to enhance movie and TV productions, providing stunning visual effects and realistic scenes. - **Toy Manufacturing:** The toy manufacturing industry can explore the development of personal robotics to create interactive and engaging toys, captivating children and sparking their imagination. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dragon-Themed Drone Light Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legend-of-the-dragon-gate.md) - [Mythical Creature Humidifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-dragon-cast-iron-wood-stove-steamer.md) - [Extreme-Heat Firefighting Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firedrone-by-empa.md) - [Heavy-Duty Hybrid Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-drones.md) - [Autonomous High-Profile Combat Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motorcycle-drone.md) - [Sci-Fi Nostalgic Dragon Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ground-dragon.md) - [High-Speed Remote-Controlled Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xrc-brawler.md) - [Flame-Resistant Firefighting Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firefighting-drones.md) - [Movie-Inspired Dragon Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toothless-model.md)
