# Whimsical Tree Lamps My Treem by Fajno Brings a Touch of Nature and Femininity into the Home By Meghan Young | Published 2012-11-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-treem References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/My-Treem/4056141) & [fajnodesign.by](http://fajnodesign.by/) My Treem is a whimsical lamp that has been shaped like a real-life tree (one that has lost its leaves, at least). Unlike similar light fixtures that focus on just one aspect of a tree, which the [Bichos lamp](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bichos-by-martinho-pita) does in terms of branches, My Treem simply brings a small tree into the home. Unlike a traditional tree wrapped in christmas lights for illumination, My Treem is outfitted with pretty lampshades that diffuse the glow from actual light bulbs. Designed by Fajno, a studio based in Brest, Belarus, My Treem stands at attention in the home as a functional object unlike other attempts at bringing a touch of nature indoors through plants and mini gardens. In addition to the feminine lighting, My Treem provides a simple [circular side table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Whimsical Tree Lamps:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the lighting industry by creating unique and nature-inspired lamp designs. - **Nature-inspired Home Decor:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home decor industry by integrating elements of nature, like trees, into functional and stylish products. - **Feminine Lighting Design:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the lighting industry by creating lamp designs that appeal to feminine aesthetics with pretty lampshades and delicate details. ### Who This Affects Most - **Lighting:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the lighting industry by developing unconventional lamp designs that incorporate elements of nature. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home decor industry by introducing nature-inspired products that bring a sense of whimsy and beauty into the home. - **Furniture:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the furniture industry by integrating functional elements, like a circular side table, in unique and visually appealing designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nature-Inspired Living Space Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonlight-floor-lamp.md) - [Zen Workstation Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bonsai-desk-lamp.md) - [Serene Wooden Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleepy-wood.md) - [Whimsical Bird-Like Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiki-lamp.md) - [Plant-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palmetto-lamp.md) - [Miniature Portable Ambiant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossi.md) - [Raw Minimalist Pine Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoop-table-lamp.md) - [Hanging Lantern-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo-table-lamp.md) - [Money Plant-Inspired Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pilea-lamp.md)
