# Futuristically Fluid Fireplaces The Mvtikka Fireplace by Nuvist is Organic and Sculptural By Meghan Young | Published 2014-05-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mvtikka-fireplace References: [deconiche](http://www.deconiche.com/mvtikka-fireplace-nuvist/) & [nuvist](http://www.nuvist.com/works/mvtikka/) There is something almost disturbingly organic about the Mvtikka Fireplace. It has a fluidity to its design that makes it appear as though it were an open wound in the wall that is gushing fire in place of blood. Yet the [clean and contemporary](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fireplace-designs) (nay futuristic) quality about the Mvtikka Fireplace makes it much more inviting than that description sounds. In fact, it is downright chic and sculptural. Designed by [Nuvist](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oreala-lamps), the Mvtikka Fireplace is inspired by the flames that it contains. Compatible with both classic and electric outputs, the Mvtikka Fireplace is great for many homes, but modern ones in particular. In a way, it becomes a [decorative art piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuvolino) in and of itself, which enhances the space in both a visual and physical way. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Fluid Fireplace Design:** Opportunity for creating fireplaces with organic and fluid designs that are visually striking and enhance the overall aesthetic of a space. - **Multi-functional Fireplaces:** Potential to design fireplaces that are compatible with both classic and electric outputs, offering versatility to suit different types of homes. - **Fireplace as Decorative Art:** Opportunity to transform fireplaces into decorative art pieces that enhance the visual and physical appeal of a space. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can explore innovative fireplace designs to create unique and captivating spaces. - **Home Furnishings:** The home furnishings industry could incorporate multi-functional fireplaces into their product offerings to meet the demands of modern homeowners. - **Art and Sculpture:** The art and sculpture industry can collaborate with fireplace designers to create fireplaces that blur the line between functional appliance and artistic masterpiece. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Slick Modern Holographic Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holographic-fireplace.md) - [Eco-Friendly Bioethanol Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glammfire-contour.md) - [Mixed-Material Tabletop Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brasscene-harmony-flame-fireplace.md) - [Portable Cylindrical Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecosmart-fire-pillar-3t.md) - [Convenient Personal Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-fireplace1.md) - [Cooking-Friendly Outdoor Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/regg-surprise.md) - [Flatpack Virtual Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphene-radiator.md) - [Communal Fireplace Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hearth-coffee-table.md) - [Smokeless Indoor Fire Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flame-fire-light.md)
