Parents often struggle with finding a balance between entertaining their kids with tools from the real and digital world, so one company, called MuuseLabs, is attempting to make this choice a little easier through offering a screen-free music player that was designed with kids in mind.

The device, called Jooki features playful figurines, which serve as a menu bar as each object is connected to a playlist. The playlists are controlled through a smart device that's managed by the parents, effectively merging the online and offline world, while ensuring a child remains screen-free.

According to the device's founder, Jooki provides children with the freedom and autonomy to independently search through and listen to their favorite songs, without requiring the help of their parents.
