# Nostalgic Children's Show Booze This Ninja Turtle Shot Resembles Mutagen Ooze By Kyle Towers | Published 2013-02-23 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mutagen-ooze References: [thatsnerdalicious](http://www.thatsnerdalicious.com/recipes/make-your-own-mutagen-tmnt-cocktail/) & [thedrunkenmoogle](http://www.thedrunkenmoogle.com/post/43492610605/mutagen-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-cocktail) This DIY shot is meant to represent the mutagen ooze that transforms the hapless teenage turtles into the mutant ninjas they are today. The shot calls for Midori, mango drink and pineapple rum which will make up the contents of the ooze. Pop Rocks are used to salt the rim and half a lime with grapes make a tiny turtle. The only thing you may have trouble finding is a [shot glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/martini-shot-glass) that resembles an ooze disposal bin, like the one depicted in the image. Unfortunately for you fan boys out there, this [mutagen ooze shot](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocktail-shots1) will not transform you into a powerful mutant ninja like the rest of the [TMNT team](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magic-the-gathering-x-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles), but I'm sure some kind of transforming may occur if you take enough of them. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **DIY Themed Shots:** Opportunity for bars and restaurants to create unique and nostalgic themed shots inspired by popular children's shows. - **Pop Culture Cocktails:** Opportunity for mixologists to develop creative and visually appealing cocktails based on nostalgic pop culture references. - **Nostalgia-inspired Spirits:** Opportunity for spirit brands to release limited edition products inspired by iconic children's shows and characters. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Hospitality:** Opportunity for bars and restaurants to capitalize on the nostalgia trend by offering themed drinks and experiences to attract customers. - **Entertainment:** Opportunity for entertainment venues to incorporate nostalgic themed cocktails into their offerings, enhancing the overall guest experience. - **Alcoholic Beverage:** Opportunity for spirit manufacturers to tap into the nostalgia market by creating unique and limited edition products based on popular children's shows. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Animated Movie-Themed Snack Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtle-cakebites.md) - [Spoon-Served Spherified Shooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highwire-lounge.md) - [90s Cartoon-Themed Supplements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-x-tmnt-products.md) - [Cartoon-Themed Pizza Seasonings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tmnt-pizza-seasoning.md) - [Cartoon Turtle-Themed Pizzas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/turtle-pizza.md) - [Nostalgic Superhero-Inspired Soaps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cowabunga-cleanse.md) - [Dirty Martini Jelly Shots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocktail-jellies.md) - [Ready-to-Pour Tea Shots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kamoti.md) - [Radical 80s-Inspired Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midori-sour-cocktail.md)
