The system comes to life with two key components: conductive Electric Paint and a Touch Board, which creates the opportunity for experimentation, interaction and play. With the Interactive Wallpaper, users are able to create entire songs by running their hands along the surface of a wall. As the system is connected to a website, users are able to download new themes to create everything from [immersive soundscapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sonic-heirloom) and the sounds of instruments to personal messages. As it stands, the Interactive Wallpaper is not available for consumer purchase, but it offers a look into the way inanimate fixtures and furnishings in homes of the future may be brought to life with [touch-activated technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pangolin). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Interactive Wallpapers:** Interactive wallpapers that respond to touch will increase demand for interactive home decor. - **Conductive Electric Paint:** Conductive electric paint technology will encourage innovation in home decor and interactive surfaces. - **Touch-activated Technology:** Touch-activated technology will revolutionize the way people interact with their homes and surroundings. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Interactive wallpapers and touch-activated technology will create opportunities for home decor companies to offer immersive and personalized experiences. - **Technology:** Innovations like conductive electric paint and touch-activated technology will encourage innovation in the technology industry to create new interactive surface applications. - **Art:** Interactive wallpapers offer new potential mediums for artists to explore in creating immersive interactive installations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interactive Creativity Home Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodle-interactive-wall.md) - [Tactile Interactive Music Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yamaha.md) - [Interactive Music Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sound-maestro.md) - [Emotion-Based Wallpaper Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodpaper.md) - [Plant-Powered MIDI Sound Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-hultn-tegel.md) - [Graphic Wallpaper Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-surfaces.md) - [Textural Wallcovering Technologies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallcovering-technology.md) - [Hand-Sensing Musical Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roli-airwave.md) - [Touch-Reactive VR Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/presence-in-bed.md)
