The instrument makes use of the same materials as the traditional original, but with a decidedly modern twist that looks as good as it plays. The instrument is equipped with a more durable tuning knob over the original that utilizes bamboo to make it suited for long-term use. The 'Sukhtara' musical instrument concept helps to modernize a classic piece of equipment for musicians in India and beyond, and highlights an aesthetic that could be more appealing to newcomers seeking to learn how to play some traditional music. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Modernized Bengali Music Instruments:** The Sukhtara instrument concept reimagines traditional Bengali music instruments with modern features. - **High-performance Music Instruments:** The Sukhtara instrument concept provides a performance-focused approach that could revolutionize how music instruments are designed. - **Appealing Aesthetics in Music Instruments:** The Sukhtara instrument concept showcases an aesthetically pleasing design that appeals to a wider range of individuals. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Music Manufacturing Industry:** The Sukhtara instrument concept represents an opportunity for manufacturers in the music industry to collaborate with musicians to design high-performance instruments. - **Musical Education Industry:** The Sukhtara instrument concept also provides an opportunity for music educators to offer a modernized approach to students seeking to learn traditional music. - **Art and Design Industry:** The Sukhtara instrument concept represents an opportunity for artists and designers to collaborate with musicians to design visually appealing, high-performance instruments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Modern MIDI Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midi-device.md) - [Digital Visualized Feedback Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibra-instrument.md) - [Quirky Strummable Synths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electronic-synth.md) - [Multifunctional Music Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chorda.md) - [Low-Cost Electric Harp Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harp-e.md) - [Braille-Covered Electric Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vitar-guitar.md) - [Futuristic Abstract Musical Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeta-electric-guitar.md) - [Electronic String Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harmoni.md) - [Celestial Smart Bamboo Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/natasha-bamboo-smart-guitar.md)
