The event, dubbed 'Calvi on the Rocks,' takes place every year on a beach in Corsica, France. With the whole thing running six days long, attendees are invited to listen to electronic music while they party on the sand. Relatively small, Calvi on the Rocks has a feel-good vibe that allows people to enjoy the music they love without being overcrowded. This sense was further enhanced by Sunsets France's music festival lights, which swapped between [different colors during the event](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-bulb) to add to the general aesthetic. With this, Calvi on the Rocks maintained its laid back atmosphere while also creating visuals that complemented the sound. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Regional](https://www.trendhunter.com/regional) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Music Festival Lights:** Opportunity for innovative lighting technology to enhance the visual experience at music festivals - **Visual Aesthetics:** Potential for creative and visually captivating elements to enhance the atmosphere at events - **Beach Festivals:** Emerging trend of hosting music festivals on beaches for a unique and enjoyable experience ### Sectors Adopting This - **Event Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the development of advanced lighting systems for festivals and events - **Event Planning:** Opportunity to incorporate visual elements into event planning for a more immersive and memorable experience - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Potential for beach destinations to capitalize on hosting music festivals to attract tourists and boost local economies ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Music Festival Fabric Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fabric-mushrooms.md) - [Immersive Light Festivals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lektrik-festival-of-lights.md) - [Dynamic Miniature Music Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/future-fan-stage.md) - [Unique Illuminated Performances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candlelight.md) - [Reactive Party Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightboks.md) - [Light Garden Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/imaginarium360.md) - [Festival-Inspired Fragrances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/natura.md) - [DIY LED Flower Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floled.md) - [Music-Synced Party Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jbl-partylight.md)
