Gus is an award-winning ceramic planter that hopes to give individuals this experience. The Gus grow blocks are to be mixed with mushroom spawn. The vessel is sold separately but if one purchases a few units, these can be stacked to save space. Growing mushrooms at home can bring consumers additional benefits, as well. For one, "many delicious, nutrient-rich [fungi] varieties are rarely found at the supermarket because of their brief shelf-life."
