Rio de Janeiro will soon have a new building to house the [Museum of Image and Sound](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/museum-for-paper-art).

Created by architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, the Museum of Image and Sound is set to accommodate galleries, education rooms, an auditorium, bars, a restaurant and an outdoor rooftop cinema.

Located on the picturesque coastline of Rio de Janeiro, construction for the Museum of Image and Sound is set to be done in 2011.

**Implications** - This [folded building architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-landscape) could quickly become an iconic building for the emerging mega-city. Buildings that are highly distinctive create a distinguishable visual identity for a city. This just makes me want to travel to Brazil.
