With all the technology being put into mobility products such as Segways, scooters, wheelchairs and more, it is quite surprising that it has taken this long for a company like Murata Manufacturing to create an [electric walker for elders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legit-walking). Murata Manufacturing's new self-balanced, [power-assisted walking frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-cane-2) will help senior citizens maintain mobility without getting tired too quickly.

Murata Manufacturing's electric walker essentially uses technology from the company's promotional robots, Murata Seisaku-kun and Murata Seiko-chan, which prevent users from falling over. Gyro sensors detect the stance of the user's body in order to automatically and pre-emptively adjust itself, providing extra support when there's a risk of the user falling.

Unfortunately, Murata Manufacturing will not be putting the electric walker on the market in the foreseeable future.
