# Cartooned Munny Art 'Munny Madness' by Ivan Yip Reworks Vinyl Toys By Marissa Brassfield | Published 2010-11-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/munny-madness-by-ivan-yip References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/Munny-Madness/794398) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/ivanyip) 'Munny Madness' by Ivan Yip is an epic series of Yip's art. Munny dolls are vinyl toys that you can buy in a blank, white state and customize on your own. Yip has transformed these blank canvases into [miniature pop culture figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/san-diego-comiccon), from [TMNT](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hello-kitty-tmnt) to Obama and Mickey Mouse. I'm slowly becoming obsessed with vinyl toys; after you check out more images of 'Munny Madness' by Ivan Yip above, keep clicking for some of my favorite designs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Custom Vinyl Toys:** Opportunity for companies to create platforms that allow customers to customize and design their own vinyl toys. - **Pop Culture Collectibles:** Disruptive potential in the market for pop culture collectibles that are designed and customized by artists and enthusiasts. - **Miniature Figurines:** Increasing demand for miniature figurines, providing opportunities for companies to offer customization options and unique designs. ### Where This Applies - **Toy Industry:** Opportunity for companies in the toy industry to offer customizable options for customers to design and paint their own vinyl toys. - **Art Industry:** Potential for artists to create their own designs on vinyl toys and establish a new market for pop culture collectibles. - **Digital Platforms:** Opportunity for digital platforms that allow customers to design and customize their own vinyl toys online and have them manufactured and shipped directly to their doorstep. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Customizable Vinyl Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/makeship.md) - [NFT-Inspired Vinyl Toy Figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superbored-vinyl-art-toys.md) - [Pop Art Legend-Honoring Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keiichi-tanaami-1.md) - [Art-Inspired Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-mattel-x-moma.md) - [Artist-Designed Toy Lineups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-toy-series.md) - [Soup-Themed Bunny Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kidrobot-2.md) - [Designer Blind Box Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pop-top.md) - [Giftable Customized Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pop-yourself-funko.md) - [Collectible Historical Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thrilljoy-pix.md)
