For those who want to maximize their time in the kitchen, this gravity-defying bowl is the perfect household accessory. The multifunctional kitchen tool features an innovative rotation system that is made from food-safe SAN plastic. The 'Spin & Drain' works by collecting water in an internal basket and then automatically drains it through the attached colander. In addition, the external container functions as a bowl that can be used to serve dishes such as pasta or salad. The Spin & Drain thus allows users to [wash, drain, serve, mix](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eternos-serving-bowl) and even defrost food all with the same gravity-defying bowl. The hybrid tool ultimately makes it easier to move seamlessly between cooking and serving duties. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Gravity-defying Kitchen Tools:** Developing more innovative kitchen tools that utilize the force of gravity to enhance and speed up the cooking process. - **Multifunctional Kitchen Accessories:** Creating multifunctional kitchen accessories that make meal preparation easier and quicker for busy households. - **Innovative Rotation System Design:** Integrating cutting-edge rotation systems into kitchen tools to simplify the food preparation process. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Kitchenware Industry:** There is a major opportunity for manufacturers in the kitchenware industry to create new and innovative products, such as gravity-defying bowls, that cater to busy consumers looking for faster and more efficient ways to prepare meals. - **Appliance Manufacturing Industry:** Appliance manufacturers could tap into the trend of multifunctional kitchen accessories, such as the Spin & Drain, by developing new appliances that can perform several tasks at once, making meal preparation more streamlined and convenient for consumers. - **Retail Industry:** Retailers have the opportunity to stock and market innovative and multifunctional kitchen accessories like the Spin & Drain to appeal to busy households and those who prioritize speed and convenience when cooking. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Drop-Shaped Salad Spinners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drop-colander.md) - [Multi-Functional Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-kitchen-tools.md) - [Eight-in-One Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchyhub.md) - [Smart Spice Grinders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gravity-grinder.md) - [Multi-Functional Pasta Spoons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pasta-spoon.md) - [Two-Sided Speed Graters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ograte.md) - [All-in-One Countertop Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/countertop-workstation.md) - [Multi-Functional Cook Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/this-cooking-appliance.md) - [Multifunctional Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latticeboard-multipurpose-kitchen-board.md)
