# All-Inclusive Water Purifiers The MSR Guardian Purifies Water From Almost Any Source By Rahul Kalvapalle | Published 2015-09-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/msr-guardian-water-purifier References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/msr-guardian-water-purifier/39578/) & [guardianpurifier](http://guardianpurifier.com/) The MSR Guardian is a water purifier that showcases some next-level workings. After all, this outdoor water purification device was designed specifically for use by the US military, and took six years to research, design and perfect. Most [water filtration systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-water-filtration-system) tend to only be able to eliminate bacteria and microscopic, diarrhea-causing Cryptosporidium parasites, whilst viruses get away. Meanwhile [water purification systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-purification-appliance) can get rid of viruses but take a long time to do so. Therefore what makes the MSR Guardian stand out is the fact that it functions as both a water filter and a purifier, and is well capable of getting rid of every biological threat found in even the dirtiest of water. When you're using a water purifier, you want to know that you can trust its contents, and the MSR Guardian certainly lets you do that. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **All-inclusive Water Purification:** Purification systems that eliminate every biological threat in water. - **Dual-functional Water Filters:** Water filters that function as both filters and purifiers. - **Military-grade Water Purifiers:** Water purification devices designed for use by the military. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor & Survival Gear:** Opportunities for companies that design and manufacture devices for outdoor enthusiasts and survival situations. - **Health & Safety:** Innovation opportunities for companies that focus on health and safety in contaminated environments. - **Defense & Military:** Innovation opportunities for companies that develop military-grade water filtration and purification systems. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Water-Purifying Jerrycans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-purification-jerrycan.md) - [Personal Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lifestraw-mission.md) - [Speedy Water Purification Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grayl-ultrapress.md) - [Extra-Rugged Water Filter Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gravity-filter-system.md) - [Water Purifier Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ladislamp-disinfection.md) - [Powered Pitcher-Style Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piurify-alchemy.md) - [Adaptable Water Purification Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adaptable-water-purification-system.md) - [Multifaceted Water Filtration Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-filtration-kit.md) - [Kitchen Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-station-1.md)
