# Robotic Golf Ball Gatherers Mr. Picker Collects Loose Balls That You've Scattered Over the Green By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-03-08 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mr-picker References: [behance.net](https://www.behance.net/gallery/GOLF-BALL-PICKER-2013/10255193) I can see how the Mr. Picker would be easily adopted by golfing culture, given that it isn't the most physically active of sports. For those times when your group's balls need collecting and you'd rather not jump back into the golf cart to do it, just activate this robot and set it out to tidy up the green. Pengfei Li worked with Fiona Lesecq, Victor Martini and a few digital designers to develop and render this concept device. It would integrate sensors to locate the little dimpled spheres and opening arms to draw them all inside. A wheel within would guide the golf balls up and into the tank of the Mr. Picker, which would then bring the lot of them back to its charging base. The gadget would even function as a light-up target for off-the-green games. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Robotic Ball Collectors:** Opportunity for developing automated devices to collect objects in various industries. - **Sensors Integration:** Opportunity to integrate sensors into products or services to enhance functionality. - **Autonomous Cleaning Robots:** Opportunity to develop robots that can autonomously clean and tidy up various environments. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Sports Equipment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create robotic devices for collecting sports equipment. - **Hospitality:** Opportunity for hotels or resorts to use autonomous robots to clean and maintain outdoor spaces. - **Facility Management:** Opportunity for facility management companies to implement robotic solutions for cleaning and tidying up. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Slender Tennis Ball Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-tennis-ball-picker-and-dispenser.md) - [AI-Fuelled Robot Gold Trolleys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ixi-robot.md) - [Autonomous Golf Trolleys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ixi.md) - [AI-Powered Indoor Golf Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-putting-green.md) - [Park Maintenance Service Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/service-robot-concept.md) - [Gamified Trash Pickers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rubbish-beam.md) - [Interactive Autonomous Cityscape Sweepers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-unmanned-sweeper-concept.md) - [Remote-Controlled Golf Caddies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mgi-zip-navigator.md) - [Multi-Tasking Garden Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/master-x-vison.md)
