Although a number of streaming services offer 4K content, Kaleidescape aims to make the technology more accessible for a wide variety of consumers. The Strato is a high-dynamic-range movie player that is part of Kaleidescape's 'Encore' product line. The company claims that the Strato offers a higher quality picture than other players due to technology that allows it to play films at higher than normal bitrates. The company is giving customers a chance to experience the superior technology by offering five [Sony Pictures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ridevu) titles in full impact 4K UHD. The customers can even choose the movies themselves from a list of available 4K titles. Not only does the Strato provide a higher quality picture, but it can also operate without the need for an ultra-high speed internet connection. The premium movie player ultimately makes 4K UHD movies and programming more accessible for the average viewer. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **High-dynamic-range Movie Players:** Opportunity for developing movie players that offer higher quality pictures using high-dynamic-range technology. - **Increased Accessibility to 4K UHD Content:** Opportunity to develop streaming services or devices that make 4K UHD content more accessible for a wide variety of consumers. - **Superior Technology for Movie Viewing:** Opportunity to innovate and develop movie players with superior technology for higher quality viewing experiences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** Opportunity for consumer electronics companies to develop high-dynamic-range movie players with superior picture quality. - **Streaming Services:** Opportunity for streaming service providers to offer increased accessibility to 4K UHD content through innovative platforms. - **Film Production and Distribution:** Opportunity for film production and distribution companies to partner with technology providers and offer 4K UHD titles to a wider audience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Crystal-Clear Chinese 4K Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chinese-4k-projector.md) - [4K Streaming Service Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mars-pro-2.md) - [All-in-One Entertainment Hub Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xgmi-horizon-pro-4k.md) - [Vibrant 4K Laser Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4k-laser-projectors.md) - [Revolutionary Long-Throw Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/longthrow-projector.md) - [Speedy Smart Streaming Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-tv-streamer.md) - [Crystal-Clear 4K Laser Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystalclear-4k-laser-projector.md) - [True 4K Home Theater Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/benq-w5800.md) - [4K HDR Home Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/benq.md)
