The space is arranged by experienced design firm MARKZEFF and the idea was to produce an aesthetic that answers to the [mid-century movement of modernism](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-perch). The interior of the [Mountain Shadows Resort](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usm) is well-balanced. Located in the Paradise Valley of Arizona, the establishment will undoubtedly make for a relaxing retreat, away from the city. While the breathtaking views are embraced in their entirety by way of sizable windows, the mountain resort interior enjoys an ultra-contemporary vibe. Although void of the traditional rustic aesthetic, MARKZEFF ensures a welcoming setting by way of 60s-inspired design decisions. Aside from the agreeable dynamic between outdoor and indoor spaces, MARKZEFF also meticulously balances nature and design through materials, shapes and color palettes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Contemporary Mountain Resort Interiors:** The trend towards contemporary, mid-century modern mountain resort interiors offers disruptive innovation opportunities for architecture, interior design, and hospitality. - **Nature-inspired Design:** The trend towards balancing nature and design through materials, shapes, and color palettes offers disruptive innovation opportunities for fashion, product design, and furniture design. - **Indoor/outdoor Living:** The trend towards integrating indoor and outdoor living spaces for a seamless experience offers disruptive innovation opportunities for real estate, architecture, and home improvement. ### Where This Applies - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can benefit from the contemporary mountain resort interiors trend by incorporating mid-century modern design elements in their establishments. - **Architecture:** The trend towards integrating indoor and outdoor living spaces offers disruptive innovation opportunities for architects to design more sustainable and eco-friendly structures. - **Furniture Design:** The nature-inspired design trend can be embraced by furniture designers to create pieces that incorporate organic materials and earthy hues. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mid-Century-Themed Vacation Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bohlin-cywinski-jackson.md) - [Contemporary Ski Home Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/traditional-ski-chalet.md) - [Modern Mountainous Luxury Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robert-chisholm-architects.md) - [Earthy Inviting Hotel Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mollie-aspen.md) - [Mountain Courtyard Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ski-house.md) - [Natural Comfort Chalets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chalet-cocagne.md) - [Tranquil Secluded Retreat Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-brecon.md) - [Contemporary Wooden Blue Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-cabin.md) - [Refreshed Retreat Interior Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brecon.md)
