# DIY Spaceships Die-Hard Fan Recreates Motorized Pyramid 'Stargate' Spacecraft By Andrew Robichaud | Published 2009-09-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motorized-pyramid-spacecraft References: [dvice](http://dvice.com/archives/2009/09/stargate-motori.php) & [forums.techpowerup](http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=103267) We all know that DIY is in these days, but not to the extent of this die-hard 'Stargate' fan. The [galactic show](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-trek-uss) is full of creatures from different galaxies and their amazing [unique spaceships](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dianai-solar-sailer). This motorized pyramid spacecraft is actually the ship of Goa’uld Ha’tak (I don’t know what it is either). The motorized pyramid spacecraft has a sliding shield door that mechanically lifts up to reveal a digital screen that displays different “techie” configurations (something us non-'Stargate' watchers wouldn’t understand). The shield door and all the ships lights are controlled by a special remote. Never have I seen a recreation like this motorized pyramid spacecraft and I suggest you check out the epic (and I mean EPIC) video that goes with it! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **DIY Spaceships:** The trend of DIY enthusiasts recreating iconic spaceships from popular media franchises, showcasing their creative and technical skills. - **Motorized Pyramids:** The trend of building motorized pyramidal structures, incorporating mechanical features like sliding doors and digital screens for an enhanced visual experience. - **Fan Recreation:** The trend of die-hard fans recreating and showcasing their favorite fictional spacecraft, contributing to a thriving community of fan-made replicas. ### Where This Applies - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry could collaborate with passionate fans to create official DIY spaceship kits, tapping into the demand for immersive and interactive experiences. - **Technology:** The technology industry can develop innovative remote control systems and accessories for DIY builders, enhancing the functionality and realism of their motorized pyramid spacecraft. - **Crafts and Hobbies:** The crafts and hobbies industry can offer specialized tools, materials, and workshops specifically tailored for enthusiasts interested in constructing motorized pyramid spacecraft and similar DIY projects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Replica Sci-Fi Toy Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playmobil-star-trek-klingon-bird-of-prey.md) - [Sci-Fi Spacecraft LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-spacecraft-lego-set.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Yacht Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-trek-inspired-yacht.md) - [Sci-Fi Media Playsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buildabridge-mini-bridge.md) - [DIY Life-Size Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nd-woodworking-art.md) - [Motor-Powered Diwheels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-diwheel.md) - [Intricate Sci-Fi Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-atreides-royal-ornithopter.md) - [Spaceship-Like Entertainment Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/odyssey-entertainment-system.md) - [DIY All-Terrain Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allterrain-tank.md)
