Design duo Adam and Arthur introduce the Mother and Child Cabinet which has a [monochromatic look](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curved-cabinetry-collection) and as the name suggests, references the look of a mother next to her child. The cupboard measures out to be two meters in height and is decorated with [straw marquetry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/agra-forma), which is a technique that includes forming patterns from flattened ribbons of straw and embedding them into furniture.

This design is made up of 16,000 individual pieces of white straw that create a pearlescent sheen and breaks up by interspersing black bands. The contrasting black stripes are made from straw and dyed in-house by the designers themselves. The cabinet has [two humps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archetypes) that are made to represent the mother and child, which opens with two sets of double doors.
