This [washer runs off of Android](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aipowered-smart-home-appliances) and can be programmed and started from your cell phone. That’s right, you can [do your laundry from an app](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laundry-system) on your phone with the Moshi*Matic. The man to thank for this [effortless creation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electrolux-laundry-robot) is Guillaume Moshi Guyader. Here’s hoping that the Moshi*Matic gets developed sometime soon. Walking all the way to the laundry room isn’t as fun as it once was. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Smart Laundry Appliances:** The trend of using smartphone apps to control and monitor laundry appliances like the Moshi*Matic is disrupting the traditional laundry process. - **Internet of Things (iot) in Home Appliances:** The integration of Android technology in washing machines, like the Moshi*Matic, is a manifestation of the growing trend of incorporating IoT capabilities into everyday household items. - **Remote Home Management:** The ability to control and start laundry machines from a smartphone app, as demonstrated by the Moshi*Matic, opens up opportunities for remote home management and convenience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Smart Appliance:** The development of Android-powered washing machines like the Moshi*Matic presents an innovative opportunity for the smart appliance industry. - **Home Automation:** The integration of smartphone connectivity in laundry appliances, such as the Moshi*Matic, aligns with the home automation industry's goal of simplifying and automating household tasks. - **Mobile App Development:** The rise of smartphone-controlled washing machines, exemplified by the Moshi*Matic, creates a demand for mobile app developers to create intuitive laundry management applications. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Touchscreen Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chiq-colorluxe-washing-machine.md) - [Ultra-Modern Toy-Like Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toshin-machine.md) - [Voice Assistant Laundry Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laundry-appliance.md) - [All-in-One AI-Powered Laundry Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roborock-zeo-one.md) - [Human Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirai-human-washing-machine.md) - [Portable Mini Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gsoak.md) - [AI-Powered Laundry Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-fx-washer-and-dryer.md) - [Multipurpose Portable Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wonertool-portable-washing-machine.md) - [AI-Driven Washing Innovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartwash-technology.md)
