Champeny created this [multicolored mosaic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/almais-office), fittingly titled School of Transcendence, made entirely from thousands of resin fish. The fish come in a wide variety of technicolor shades like blue, orange, red and yellow. Some of the resin fish are made with [transparent plastic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cresta) and others with solid colors to create a more dynamic mosaic aesthetic. Each of the 25,000 hand casted fish were assembled like a school of fish to recreate a gigantic koi fish. The final image measures roughly 42-inches by 60-inches. From an aerial perspective the koi fish looks hypnotic and breathtaking. When the viewer gets up close they can see all the individual fish layered in the mosaic's design. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Resin Art:** Exploring new ways to utilize resin as an artistic medium. - **Mosaic Design:** Applying mosaic techniques to create intricate and captivating artworks. - **Colorful Sculptures:** Experimenting with vibrant and diverse sculptures to evoke visual interest. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** Opportunities for artists to create innovative resin artworks and creative mosaic designs. - **Home Decor:** A chance to introduce unique and eye-catching sculptures and mosaic pieces into home decoration. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Disruptive elements in the hospitality and tourism industry by incorporating captivating art installations and designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interactive Marine Ecosystem Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marine-ecosystem-sculptures.md) - [Artful Ethereal Iridescent Resin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/objects-of-common-interest.md) - [Dream-Adorned Mosaic Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmologyscape.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Interactive Kinetic Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-kinetic-sculptures.md) - [Illuminated Bright Pool Surfaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vetrite.md) - [Nature-Inspired Colorful Glass Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anemona.md) - [Large-Scale Floral Mosaics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floral-mosaics.md)
