The S.M.S (smoke messaging system) is allowing users to send literal [smoke signals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sos-light-app) through their smartphone devices. This smokey phone case is a complex bit of technology. The smoke that comes from the phone case comes from a heated lamp oil that is administered by the user through a syringe. After that, the add-on does the rest. S.M.S allows users to agree on a common morse code to use so having a conversation may be difficult with many people but entirely possible. If you ever need some privacy from prying eyes, this is certainly one way to do it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Morse Code Communication:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop new messaging apps or services that utilize morse code as a secure and unique method of communication. - **Smartphone Accessories:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Create innovative smartphone cases or add-ons that offer unique functionalities and enhance user experiences. - **Unconventional Privacy Solutions:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Design unconventional privacy solutions, such as smoke-shooting phone cases, that cater to individuals seeking alternative methods to protect their privacy. ### Where This Applies - **Telecommunications:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Explore ways to integrate morse code into telecommunications technologies to offer secure and efficient communication channels. - **Consumer Electronics:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Develop innovative smartphone accessories and add-ons to cater to the diverse needs and preferences of smartphone users. - **Privacy and Security:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Invest in unconventional privacy and security solutions to address the growing concerns of individuals regarding digital privacy. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Power-Providing LED Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starcase.md) - [Flask Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flask-phone-case.md) - [Mindful Communication Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clicks-communicator.md) - [Security-Enhancing Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cirotta-case.md) - [Customizable LED Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-iphone-case.md) - [AI-Powered Smartphone Laptop Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-amber-case.md) - [E-Ink Display Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xcool-inkplay.md) - [Storytelling Floral Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-xline-floral-series.md) - [Anti-Intrusion Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sectock-privacy-phone-case.md)
