Morgaine Faye allows her audience a glimpse into her inner world; her drawings are [otherwordly and intricate](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1). All of these [whimsical illustrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fable-lantern) portray [mystical creatures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tarotandreading) with fairytale qualities. Some appear to be mermaids with flowing hair and seaweed surroundings, while others depict nymph-like beings with woodland features. Faye takes care to color all of her creations; she uses vibrant colors from both natural and unnatural palettes. The colors bleed across the page in some of the water-themed pictures, leading me to assume she utilizes watercolors. This hypnotizing collection of Morgaine Faye illustrations takes the viewer to another world and encourages them to explore their own imagination. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Whimsical Illustrations:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop augmented reality apps that bring whimsical illustrations to life. - **Colorful Artwork:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create customizable digital platforms that allow users to create and share their own colorful artwork. - **Fantasy Creatures:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design virtual reality experiences that immerse users in interactive worlds with fantasy creatures. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Entertainment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate blockchain technology to create unique, digital art pieces that can be bought, sold, and traded. - **Mobile Applications:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop mobile applications that use AI algorithms to transform photos into whimsical illustrations in real-time. - **Virtual Reality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create virtual reality headsets and platforms specifically designed for artists to showcase their immersive creations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Creature-Inspired Home Good Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charles-jeffreys-loverboy.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [Mermaid-Inspired Makeup Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shells-jewel-collection.md) - [Human Nature-Themed Art Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sea-im-awake.md) - [Playful Cat Illustrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/open-meow.md) - [Fair Food-Inspired Chocolate Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fair-foods.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md)
