This dessert has been sculpted like the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft commanded by Han Solo, and really takes the cake! Full marks to all for efforts. Personally I quite like the crappy looking Millennium Falcon cakes, as they make me smile. If you are going for a cake so perfect you don't want to eat it, then I would say just get a model so you don't have to cut into your work of art. Although not a Millennium Falcon cake, I totally love the [Death Star cake](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ucs-death-star) and [cupcakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crumbs-colossal-cupcake) so much. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Star Wars-themed Cakes:** Opportunity for bakeries to tap into the fandom and offer customized Star Wars-themed cakes for special occasions. - **Geek-inspired Desserts:** Opportunity for creative bakers to innovate and create desserts inspired by popular geek culture, attracting a niche market. - **Sculpted Cakes:** Opportunity to offer sculpted cakes that resemble popular characters or objects, appealing to customers looking for unique and visually impressive desserts. ### Where This Applies - **Bakery Industry:** Bakeries can expand their offerings and stand out from competitors by incorporating geek-themed cakes into their portfolios. - **Geek Culture Retail:** Retailers specializing in geek culture merchandise can collaborate with bakeries to offer exclusive Star Wars-themed cakes, creating a unique product line. - **Event Planning and Catering:** Event planners and catering companies can incorporate sculpted and customized geek-themed cakes into their services, adding a memorable and visually appealing element to events. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi-Themed Donut Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinkbox-doughnuts-star-wars-day.md) - [Playful Space-Themed Desserts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacethemed-dessert.md) - [Galactic Cafe Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Star-wars-themed-cafe.md) - [Festive Sci-Fi Building Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-atat-walker.md) - [Celebratory Sci-Fi Toy Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-star-wars-25th-anniversary.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Cruiser Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/venator-attack.md) - [Sci-Fi Spacecraft LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-spacecraft-lego-set.md) - [Sci-Fi Gaming Mice](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/millennium-falcon-edition.md) - [Sci-Fi Film-Inspired Gaming Mouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/g502-x-plus-millennium-falcon-edition.md)
