While the earth may have been already mapped out and explored, the moon presents us with another canvas for exploration. The 12" moon globe has 850 points of interest labelled on it, derived from over 15,000 images from [NASA's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/four-point-puzzles) Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera. The moon globe would make a great addition to your planetary office once moon colonies are established and [lunar exploration](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-pavilion) becomes a full time job. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 13% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Lunar Exploration Tools:** The Moon Globe by Sky & Telescope shows the potential for creating tools and technologies specifically for lunar exploration. - **Astronomy Education Aids:** The Moon Globe by Sky & Telescope may inspire the creation of new astronomy education tools. - **Commercial Space Merchandising:** The Moon Globe by Sky & Telescope indicates a potential market for space-themed merchandise as space exploration becomes more commercialized. ### Who This Affects Most - **Aerospace:** Aerospace companies can benefit from developing new lunar exploration tools inspired by the Moon Globe by Sky & Telescope. - **Education:** The Moon Globe by Sky & Telescope has potential for use as a teaching tool in astronomy education programs. - **Retail:** As space exploration becomes more commercialized, retailers may consider offering space-themed merchandise, like the Moon Globe by Sky & Telescope, to appeal to consumers interested in space exploration and astronomy. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Real World-Synced Globes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microtierra.md) - [Glass Solar System Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-solar-system-in-a-sphere.md) - [Lunar-Inspired Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-side-table.md) - [Eclipse-Inspired Whimsical Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-traveler.md) - [Lunar Chocolate Countdowns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dandelion-chocolate-advent-calendar.md) - [Moon-Inspired Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-trip-clock.md) - [Celestial Tracking Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumoon.md) - [Sculptural Lunar Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonsetter-floor-lamp.md) - [Spaced-Themed LED Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-room.md)
