It honors the rich Spanish heritage with infusions of his own roots as well. He was inspired by an encounter with vintage Spanish postcards and created the lamp for Danish brand &Tradition. The design boasts a modern flair that is perfectly fused with [traditional aesthetics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monumental-collection). He notes, "It’s a testament to the power of design to transcend eras and resonate with contemporary sensibilities." The lamp's namesake is influenced by the cloth cap that is worn by matadors in the arena to a bullfight. The silhouette of the lamp also reflects this which is highlighted by the [aluminum shade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foreshadow-table-lamp). The base and shade appear to be a single structure that comes apart and connects using magnets.
