Each bug is a one of a kind creation inspired by Goluch's lifelong interest in nature and insects. The artist says she is, “drawn to the beauty, but also to the danger in nature.” Each of the intricate pieces also holds a tiny surprise hidden within the bug's body; such as the cicada, which houses a small gemstone music note pendant made of gold. To give you perspective of the size of these sculptures – the blue dragonfly's hinged wing span is 11”, the cicada is 10” long, and the creepy earwig is just shy of 13”. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Metal Insect Sculptures:** Using metals to create intricate and unique insect sculptures can disrupt the art industry by providing a new form of art. - **Nature-inspired Art:** The rise of nature-inspired art can create opportunities for artists to explore nature and its nuances in unique ways. - **Surprise Inside Art:** Creating art with hidden surprises can disrupt the traditional art world and create a new form of interactive art. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art:** The art industry can benefit from incorporating new and unique forms of art such as metal insect sculptures. - **Jewelry:** Incorporating gemstones into metal insect sculptures can create new and unique pieces of jewelry. - **Interiors and Home Decor:** Metal insect sculptures can disrupt the home decor and interior industry by providing unique pieces to decorate and beautify spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Insect-Inspired Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insect-bronze-sculptures.md) - [Bug-Inspired Jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/murder-hornet-ring.md) - [Life-Sized Puzzled Insect Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insect-collection.md) - [Haunting Fine Jewelry Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/faberge-x-beetlejuice-beetlejuice.md) - [Insect-Like Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-mantis-chair.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Kinetic Insect Sculpture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dragonfly-balance-light.md) - [Insect Orchestra Concerts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cicada-symphony-orkinstra.md) - [Sci-Fi Nostalgic Dragon Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ground-dragon.md)
