The chair consists of a [monolithic concrete slab base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monolit-chair) paired with a [wooden bowl-shaped seat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sitter-chair) on the top that allows for a full 10-degrees of rotation. This enables the seat to augment slightly according to the height of the sitter for a more comfortable user experience. The 'Monom' seater concept maintains an industrial design that is intended to be installed in public spaces or private outdoor areas where temporary seating is required. The sturdy design of the seat means a person can lean against it without worry about it tipping over. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Adaptable Outdoor Seating:** The 'Monom' seater concept presents an innovative way of providing outdoor seating with its adaptable design. - **Industrial Design in Public Spaces:** The industrial design of the 'Monom' seater concept presents an opportunity for more innovative and sturdy public seating solutions. - **Comfort-centric Public Seating Solutions:** The adaptable design of the 'Monom' seater concept provides an opportunity to create more comfortable public seating options. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Furniture:** The 'Monom' seater concept presents an innovative approach to outdoor furniture design, particularly for public spaces. - **Urban Planning:** The adaptable and sturdy design of the 'Monom' seater concept provides an opportunity for urban planners to create more functional and safe outdoor spaces. - **Architecture:** The unique design of the 'Monom' seater concept presents an opportunity for architects to incorporate innovative and comfortable seating solutions into building design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Outdoor Space Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mass-public-bench.md) - [Collapsible Posture Support Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergonomic-portable-seat.md) - [Weather-Versatile Conical Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conicent.md) - [Adaptable Ergonomic Office Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-moon-chair.md) - [Gently Curved Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mono-chair-collection.md) - [Bold Mobile Work Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omniseat-portable-productivity.md) - [Brutalist Concrete Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brute-furniture-concept.md) - [Flatpack Ultra-Modular Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-chair.md) - [Adaptive Public Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adp-bench.md)
