Designed to work with the latest [Apple](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macbook-docking-station-and-charger) [MacBook Pro](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aohi-magcube) laptops, the device affixes onto the existing charger and will offer [several additional USB charging ports](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multiport-charging-device). This enables users to use only one outlet to charge all of their devices and not feel limited by the lack of ports on the modern laptop. The Monitormate M2 Cube comes in two models to suit the different options from the brand and acknowledges the need for aftermarket devices that help to make modern technology compatible with older devices to eliminate the need for immediate upgrade. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Aftermarket Charger-expanding Devices:** Develop products that allow consumers to charge multiple devices at once and eliminate the need for immediate upgrades. - **USB Charging for Modern Laptops:** Create charging accessories that cater to the lack of ports on modern laptops. - **Device Compatibility for Older Devices:** Design adapters that bridge the gap between newer and older technology to eliminate the need for outdated devices. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** Manufacture devices and accessories that meet the needs of consumers for more efficient and adaptable technology. - **Manufacturing:** Produce aftermarket accessories and adapters to customers who want to increase efficiency and use-specific technology. - **Technology Consumer Services:** Offer technology services and consultation on device compatibility solutions for customers with diverse tech needs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [All-in-One Laptop Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macbook-docking-station-and-charger.md) - [Four-In-One Cable Management Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cable-managements.md) - [Ultra-Fast Dual-Port PD Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aohi-magcube.md) - [Charing Gadget Expansions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plugable1.md) - [Streamlined Work Desk Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/docking-station.md) - [14-in-One Connectivity Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acuce-a10-pro.md) - [Laptop Display Connectivity Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usbc-docking-station.md) - [Quad-Device Charging Connectivity Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usbc-charger-hub.md) - [Compact Charging Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/m30.md)
