# Abstract Artist WiFi Routers The Conceptual Mondrian Routers from Cosin Design are Colorful By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2026-02-28 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mondrian-routers References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2026/02/27/what-if-artists-designed-wi-fi-routers/) & [cosinparis](https://cosinparis.com/en?srsltid=AfmBOoqhN3NUCrw3OKVo7Riuzl90QKZgjp-5ZFeOBVQAKBcvTpltLD_M) The WiFi router has become commonplace in the home but no less reviled by design-conscious consumers, which is taken into account with these conceptual Mondrian Routers by Cosin Design. The networking solutions are inspired by the artistic design work of Piet Mondrian and thus incorporate a cubic profile that boasts a range of colors across the antenna-accented units. The routers are imagined in three color schemes including one with primary colors, another with pastels and a third in a monochromatic finish to put shapes in the spotlight. The conceptual Mondrian Routers respond to the stationary nature of networking solutions that are often impossible to hide away in the home or office. The solutions can thus be left out as a work of art rather than a piece of connectivity equipment that users wish could be concealed. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 66% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Aesthetic Connectivity Devices:** Reimagining routers as decorative objects creates potential for devices that compete on visual appeal as much as on technical specs. - **Modular Color Coded Hardware:** Interchangeable colored panels and antenna accents open possibilities for hardware ecosystems that adapt to personal taste or branding needs. - **Art Integrated Home Tech:** Embedding artistic design language into everyday network equipment suggests a market for tech products that double as curated décor pieces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Consumer Electronics:** Design-forward routers hint at a shift where manufacturers differentiate through form factor and finish alongside performance metrics. - **Interior Design:** The availability of visually striking connectivity gear implies new opportunities for designers to incorporate technology as intentional aesthetic elements. - **Telecommunications Hardware:** Customizable exterior treatments for network equipment indicate potential for manufacturers to offer tiered product lines blending industrial design with connectivity capabilities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ai-Powered Recipe-Generating Appliance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kitchen-cosmo.md) - [Interchangeable Cover Networking Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibrant-wifi-router.md) - [Reliable WiFi 8 Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-rog-neocore-wifi-8.md) - [Modernist Toy-Like Coffee Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/espresso-machine-concept.md) - [Incense Burner-Inspired Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wifi-router-concept.md) - [Sculptural Wifi Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huawei-x3-pro-wifi.md) - [Fragrant Router Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/innrou.md) - [Advanced Avian-Inspired Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dlink-aquila-pro-ai-m95.md) - [Customizable Network Router Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wifi-router-1.md)
