As a drummer, I know this burden all too well. Well, Swedish designer Mario Rohner was brilliant enough to come up with a concept that was previously thought un-doable: he created a [collapsible guitar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shark-guitars). His Monday Morning Travel Guitar was built into separate parts and with the unique cutaway design, allows the player to put his or her axe into a [small backpack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-midi-controller). The really amazing part of the Monday Morning Travel Guitar is that even with its [breakable design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-guitar-1), it doesn’t lose any of its playability, something that only the finest engineer and musician could create. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Collapsible Instruments:** The trend of creating collapsible instruments opens up opportunities for musicians to easily transport their gear without sacrificing quality. - **Portable Music Gear:** The trend of designing portable music gear allows musicians to have their instruments and equipment readily accessible on the go. - **Innovative Instrument Design:** The trend of innovative instrument design introduces new possibilities for musicians to explore unique sounds and techniques. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Musical Instrument Manufacturing:** The musical instrument manufacturing industry can capitalize on the trend of collapsible instruments by developing and producing compact yet high-quality instruments for musicians on the move. - **Music Accessories:** The music accessories industry can tap into the trend of portable music gear by creating and selling convenient accessories that allow musicians to easily transport and use their instruments. - **Music Education:** The music education industry can take advantage of the trend of innovative instrument design by incorporating these unique instruments into their curriculum, providing students with opportunities to learn and experiment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Travel-Friendly Folding Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travelfriendly-folding-guitar.md) - [Dual-Hinge Folding Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-guitars.md) - [Bamboo Smart Travel Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travel-guitar-1.md) - [Retro-Style Travel Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vox-apc1-travel-guitar.md) - [Folding Speaker-Equipped Electric Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mogabi-v3-guitar.md) - [Guitar-Holding Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guitarholding-bench.md) - [Modular High-End Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shark-guitars.md) - [Minimalist MIDI Guitar Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midi-guitar.md) - [Minimalist Instrument-Holding Amplifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breeze-guitar-amp.md)
