Yiannis Ghikas must have run into this problem a lot because he has invented the Monarchy Rocking Stool. It is [simple seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sedeo-chair) with a small twist. The legs of the Monarchy Rocking Stool curve into the middle at the bottom and create 4 rounded corners that support the stool. These supports are gently raised off the ground which allows for swaying movements and comfortable rocking. Now my banishment to the stool shall be a welcomed activity! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Rocking Stools:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop ergonomic rocking stools that provide comfort and flexibility for extended periods of sitting. - **Seating Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design versatile seating solutions that combine aesthetics, functionality, and ergonomic features to enhance user comfort. - **Flexible Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create adaptable furniture designs that can transform and adjust to meet varying user needs and preferences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate technology and new materials to revolutionize the production and design processes in the furniture manufacturing industry. - **Office Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative office furniture solutions that prioritize ergonomics, well-being, and user experience to improve productivity and comfort in the workplace. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new approaches to interior design, focusing on incorporating multifunctional and adaptable furniture pieces that optimize space utilization and user comfort. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Active Motion Desk Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swing-ao-stool.md) - [Sloped Movement Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tippi-chair.md) - [Cross Legged Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sway-chair.md) - [Modernized Rocking Chair Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodding-chair.md) - [Active Sitting Cork Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ylin-stool.md) - [Contemporary Rocking Pouffe Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/platero.md) - [Dynamic Movement Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wobbl-rocking-chair.md) - [Visibly Undulating Stool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concave-stool.md) - [Wooden Lounge Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nice-chair.md)
