# Industrial Table Lighting Mona by Kozo Lamp is Made Out of Iron Piping and Fittings By Meghan Young | Published 2012-02-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mona-by-kozo-lamp References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/006203.html) & [kozolamp](http://www.kozolamp.co.uk/) Raw and rustic, Mona by Kozo Lamp is a light fixture made out of old galvanized iron piping and fittings. Known for their industrial take on common lamps, Kozo has taken its designs up a notch by introducing a more traditional creation to the mix. Although this table lamp features the typical metal parts of pipes, it also sports a classy and classic lampshade in various colors that gives it a dash of elegance. Available in four sizes (big, fat, little and regular), Mona by Kozo Lamp will suit just about everyone's needs. Inspired by waterworks, each Mona lamp boasts the famous Kozo Tap light switch to turn it on and off. The result is playful and smart. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 45% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Industrial Lighting:** Opportunity to disrupt the lighting industry by incorporating raw and rustic designs using unconventional materials like iron piping. - **Traditional Lamp Design:** Opportunity to combine traditional lampshade elegance with industrial elements to create unique and stylish lighting fixtures. - **Playful Light Switches:** Opportunity to introduce innovative and interactive light switch designs that add a playful and smart element to lighting fixtures. ### Who This Affects Most - **Lighting:** Opportunity for lighting companies to offer industrial-style lighting fixtures that use unconventional materials and embrace raw aesthetics. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to incorporate traditional lamp designs with an industrial twist to cater to the growing demand for unique and eclectic lighting options. - **Smart Home Technology:** Opportunity for smart home technology companies to develop innovative and interactive light switches that enhance the overall lighting experience in homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Award-Winning Colorful Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/u-table-lamp.md) - [Hanging Lantern-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo-table-lamp.md) - [Minimal Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/takeout-lamp.md) - [Japanese Lantern-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/madco.md) - [Dripping Faucet-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-light-fixture.md) - [Vintage Culture-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/montera.md) - [Industrial Contemporary Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shop-light.md) - [Elegant Compact Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light.md) - [Playful Table Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toto-lamp.md)
