Created by Marc Barros of [Moment Lens](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-lens), the Moment iPhone Case addresses some of the missing features of the smartphone. First of all, it provides a reinforced aluminum bar for attaching a camera strap, allowing the phone to be more readily accessible at a moment's notice. Yet the key feature of the Moment iPhone Case is its "multi-state shutter button that works with a companion app to offer DSLR-like half-press focus and exposure lock," writes Uncrate. It works perfectly with the Moment Lens as well. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 99% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Process-enhancing Smartphone Accessories:** The rise of Instagram and the selfie presents an opportunity for smartphone accessory creators to innovate on the process of taking photos and videos with mobile devices. - **Dslr-like Smartphone Camera Functions:** Smartphone cases that offer features, like half-press focus and exposure lock, enhance the smartphone's camera functionality and can disrupt the camera accessory market. - **Smartphone Camera Accessibility:** Creating products that allow smartphone users easy access to their cameras by using reinforced aluminum bars for attaching camera straps presents a unique opportunity for smartphone accessory designers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Smartphone Accessories:** The development of new accessories like the Moment iPhone Case allows innovators in the smartphone accessories industry to cater to both the quality and process aspects of smartphone photography. - **Camera Accessories:** The innovation in smartphone camera cases that bring DSLR-like features could disrupt the market, forcing a shift in focus for camera accessory designers towards creating smartphone camera enhancements. - **Personal Electronics:** Smartphone photography has become a staple of daily life and the creation of innovative accessories catered to that trend has an opportunity to shift the market in the personal electronics industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pro-Approved Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-tseries-mobile-lenses.md) - [Pro-Grade Smartphone Photography Controls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miops-spark.md) - [Content Creator Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ipix-iphone-case.md) - [Sleek Aftermarket Smartphone Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-x-galaxy-s24-ultra-accessories.md) - [Action Button Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bangcase.md) - [Magnetic Smartphone Photography Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiftcam-snapgrip.md) - [Magnetic Snap-On Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snapgrip.md) - [Macro Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-1.md) - [Photographer-Targeted Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phone-cases1.md)
