When the sun comes out, instead of cooking like everyone else in their tents, you simply lift up the entire canopy and enjoy a feeling of openness that is as big as the universe. Watch those [shooting stars from your sleeping bag](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sky-view-tent) or experience dawn from the warmth of your bed and with a cup of coffee in your hand. Then, if the weather takes a turn for the worse, simply bring the roof over, clip it down and be ready for whatever nature can throw at you. The Standard Mollusc is six meters across and is designed for camps, festivals and anywhere else you can pitch a tent for a few days at a time. The Nano Mollusc is three metres across and [fits in a rucksack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/specops-crashpad-camper). This version is designed for people who really want to fully experience a spectacular view. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Unique Tent Design:** The Mollusc tent features a distinctive opening and closing mechanism, providing a unique camping experience. - **Openness in Camping:** The Mollusc tent allows campers to easily enjoy an open-air experience by lifting the entire canopy. - **Compact Tent Accessibility:** The Nano Mollusc tent offers a portable and compact option for adventurers looking to fully experience impressive views. ### Who This Affects Most - **Camping Equipment:** The unique tent design of the Mollusc presents disruptive innovation opportunities for the camping equipment industry. - **Outdoor Recreation:** The Mollusc tent's ability to provide an open-air camping experience opens up possibilities for the outdoor recreation industry to enhance customer experiences. - **Adventure Tourism:** The compact and portable Nano Mollusc tent caters to the needs of adventure tourists, presenting new opportunities within the industry to offer unique accommodations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Angular Multi-Level Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nokken-softshell-tent.md) - [Oversized Cave-Like Camping Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heimplanet-cave-xl-tent.md) - [Expansive Multipurpose Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multipurpose-tents.md) - [Four-Season Inflatable Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fourseason-inflatable-tent.md) - [All-Season Rooftop Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/badass-packet-molle-tent.md) - [Inflatable Geodesic Adventure Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerogogo-aerotent-series.md) - [Experimental Shelter Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grayhus.md) - [Cubic Car Camper Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carsule-portable-popup-tent.md) - [Inflatable House-Shaped Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-architecture-inflatable-tent.md)
