Mohamed Raoof has given the [fiery avians](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cool-birds) a digital makeover in favor of a realistic approach. The actual species of the Angry Birds isn't known, but the artist has done a wonderful job of utilizing physical characteristics of certain species to bring his hyper-real vision to life. For example, the red bird takes on the look of a cardinal, the white a seagull and the green a chubbier version of a toucan. The illustrations are an interesting take on the fiery characters when the cartoon aesthetic is stripped away in favor of a more natural one. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hyper-real Illustrations:** Artists can explore hyper-realistic illustrations of pop icons, inspiring creativity and new ways of visualizing popular culture. - **Realistic Cartoon Characters:** Artists can incorporate realistic aspects into cartoon characters, allowing them to cross into new genres of art and appealing to a wider audience. - **Digital Art Makeovers:** Artists can use digital technology to transform traditional cartoons into hyper-realistic and visually stunning illustrations. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Illustration:** This trend opens up opportunities for artists to create new and exciting types of digital art that stand out in a crowded market. - **Entertainment and Media:** Realistic versions of popular cartoon characters could expand their appeal to new audiences and create new franchises and revenue streams, especially in film or TV. - **Technology and Design:** Creating hyper-realistic illustrations involves using advanced technology and design techniques, opening up opportunities for innovation in these fields. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bird-Shaped Food Packagings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bigbilled-bird-food-concept.md) - [Vibrant Bird-Inspired Artful Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macar-parrot.md) - [Crow-Shaped Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hooded-crow.md) - [Pride-Honoring Bird Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pride-birds.md) - [Mobile Game-Themed Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iswii-angry-birds.md) - [Birdcage-Inspired Smart Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bird-intelligent-sound-box.md) - [Provocative AR Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/not-so-happy-animals.md) - [Bird-Inspired Earbud Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tweettunes.md) - [Cartoon Eating Challenges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hot-ones-episodes.md)
