The lamp is characterized by its conical construction that can sit on the accompanying base to provide an ample amount of illumination within a space. The lamp unit reveals a [portable design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parcel-portable-lamp) when removed from the base, which is further supported by a built-in string for carrying it around like a lantern. The illuminator is [recharged via the base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pop-lamp) for a simple and discreet user experience. The 'Mikono' modular table light is meant to work with the user's lifestyle rather than maintaining a static design to keep it relevant for homebodies and outdoor adventurers alike. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 69% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Modular Lighting:** There is an opportunity for lighting companies to develop and market modular lighting devices that can be used both indoors and outdoors. - **Portable Illuminators:** Developing illuminators that are portable and easy to carry around is an opportunity for companies who cater to outdoor enthusiasts. - **Multifunctional Lighting:** There is an opportunity for lighting companies to develop and market multifunctional lighting devices that can serve both as functional and decorative pieces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Lighting Industry:** The lighting industry can benefit from developing innovative lighting devices that cater to the evolving needs of consumers. - **Outdoor Gear Industry:** The outdoor gear industry can benefit from developing lighting devices that are lightweight, portable and easy to carry around. - **Interior Design Industry:** The interior design industry can benefit from incorporating these multifunctional and modular lighting pieces into their designs to create unique and personalized spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Portable Mushroom-Like Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ichi-table-lamp.md) - [Versatile Torch-Style Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cono.md) - [Bamboo-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-desk-lamp.md) - [Ultra-Flexible Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anywhereuse-lamp.md) - [Rechargeable Portable Torch Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piton-portable-lamp.md) - [Portable Pen-Holding Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pod-lamp-concept.md) - [Customizable Industrial Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pi-modular-lamp.md) - [Stackable Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/module-table-lamp.md) - [Stylish Outdoor Illumination Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-outdoor-lantern.md)
