The colors highlight different areas of the home while simultaneously using hues to establish a mood inside the space. Located in Arkansas, the Mood Ring House is a contemporary space that offers a light controlled system that takes commands from a smartphone. Residences of the home can program the lights to change to corresponding colors such as purple, blue or red depending on their mood. The bright color illuminates through LED lights located on the porch, front of the house as well as the side. The home then becomes an extension of the residence's inner feelings and emotions. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modular Housing:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the modular housing industry by integrating customizable LED lighting systems. - **Smart Home Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the smart home industry by integrating smartphone-controlled LED lighting systems for mood enhancement. - **Colorful LED Lighting:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the LED lighting industry by offering customizable and mood-responsive lighting solutions for residential spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Opportunity for the architectural industry to incorporate customizable LED lighting systems in modular housing designs for enhanced visual impact. - **Home Automation:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the home automation industry by integrating smartphone-controlled LED lighting systems for mood enhancement and personalized experiences. - **Lighting Technology:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the lighting technology industry by developing advanced LED systems that can cater to mood-based lighting demands in residential spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Shape-Shifting Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodi.md) - [Personalized Light Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personalized-light-art.md) - [Modular Dynamic Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonside-neon-hex.md) - [90s-Inspired Vibrant Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holboro-house.md) - [Colorful Cubic Smart Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neon-crystal.md) - [Warm Colorful Property Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leah-ring.md) - [Geometric Colorful Residential Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphic-house.md) - [Modern Vibrantly Designed Craftman](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/craftsman-house.md) - [Ultra-Colorful High-Density Residential Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highdensity-residential-design.md)
